Professor David Wood’s contributions to urban entomology, termites, and a wild and crazy protégée.

I will be reviewing the many contributions Professor David Wood has made to urban entomology, especially to our understanding of termites. I will also review my long association with Professor Wood that spans more than 30 years, inclusive of Professor Wood sitting on my entomology certification committee, signing my thesis, and convincing his wild and crazy protégée to leave a state prison job for a career in academia.
