Codling moth is a cosmopolitan pest of apples. Current control practices are either environmentally unfriendly or have limited efficacy. We are searching for naturally derived semiochemicals thet would deter codling moth neonates from infesting the fruit. Here we present preliminary results on feeding deterrent semiochemicals that originate from foliage of Ginko biloba and prevent fruit infestation by codling moth.
