InsectImages www.InsectImages.org provides archival, access and retrieval of high quality images about entomology and insects that are available for no-cost educational uses. It is one of the four sites that make up BugwoodImages Database System (http://images.Bugwood.org) served by The Center for Invasive Species & Ecosystem Health (www.bugwood.org). InsectImages is web-accessible and provides users with access to over 38,000 images taken by 900 photographers on 6,000 subjects. It is driven by the Bugwood taxonomic database system and is fully-searchable. Individual photographers retain all commercial rights to images included in the archive. Every image use requires proper citation. In 2009, InsectImages received 21 million hits from 750,000 unique users.
