What do ambrosia beetles have to do with resistance of coast live oak to Phytophthora ramorum? Another Dave Wood tale

Dave Wood was a co-advisor for one of my post-docs. As such, he has had a tremendous influence in how I approach science and in the way my career has evolved. I believe one of the most important traits I have inherited from him is tenacity in pursuing my own ideas. We still collaborate very actively, and this presentation is yet another example of how Dave's unrelenting pursuit of knowledge is paying off yet again.
