Responses of Tetrastichus planipennisi to different host stages of the emerald ash borer (EAB) were evaluated in the laboratory for successful parasitism and progeny production. While it never attacked EAB pupae, T. planipennisi successfully attacked late instar EAB larvae, J-shaped pre-prepupae and prepupae inserted into ash sticks or feeding in the cambium of infested ash logs. However, T. planipennisi rarely attacked J-shaped pre-prepuae and prepupae bored into the ash wood.
