Late instar maggots collected feeding from human remains
found in the metropolitan Houston, TX area were identified
as Sarcophaga bullata Parker using published molecular methods. Identification of the maggots allowed for maggot age determination and subsequent determination of the
minimum period of insect activity (PIA).
