I saw a fly that had a long black thorax and abdomen with transparent wings. It had two brown antannae with a little white stripe on each of them. Can you tell its species and some infomation about it?

Hello. My name is Angel, and I live in Anne Arundel County of Maryland. My mother and I were wondering what species of fly was in our house. Now this fly was rather large, far more bigger than a normal house fly. It had a lime green adbomen, and butt, with symmetrical black specks down it's abdomen. Usual house flies are a green, and small, correct? Yes, well this fly had orange eyes, and as I said it was rather large, possibly bigger than a wasp, maybe around the size of a bumble bee. We thought it was extremely strange, and rare, none we have ever seen before. And I must say, it was quite disgusting. Thank-You.
