Vector transmission of Leishmania in the United States: Endemic and potential emerging foci

Historical and potential transmission of Leishmania by sand flies in the US will be discussed in relation to past outbreaks, emerging foci and influx of exotic cases. Particular emphasis will be placed on canine outbreaks and returning troops from the US.
