Civil military operations in Afghanistan: An entomological perspective

This presentation will cover the three major projects that this author took part in while deployed in support of military operations in Afghanistan. The projects focused on aspects of medical, veterinary and agricultural entomology. Key species are: Apis mellifera, Apis dorsata (Hymenoptera: Apida) and periodic cicada (no species ID) (Homoptera: Cicadidae).
