Army, Navy and Air Force entomologists work in locations such as Kenya, Japan, Thailand, Peru, Germany, Italy, Egypt and Indonesia to research, prevent and manage the impact of vector-borne disease on military operations. An overview of the diverse military entomology programs and ongoing research will be presented. The Deployed Warfighter Protection Program (DWFP) is a $5,000,000/year research program with military, academic and industry participants designed to develop new technologies to protect military personnel from vector-borne disease.
