The threecornered alfalfa hopper is primarily a pest of soybeans, but recently the pest has started causing economic damage in cotton.  Currently no threshold has been implemented in cotton for the threecornered alfalfa hopper.  A problem with the threecornered alfalfa hopper in cotton, is that they are difficult to scout for and usually you find injury after the fact.  The objectives of this research is to find out the impact threecornered alfalfa hoppers have on yield in cotton.
