Morphology and distribution of sensilla on the worker antenna of the Argentine ant, Linepithema humile  were examined with light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy.  Various types of sensilla were found on the scape and 11 flagellomeres that make up the funiculus, which is not clavate.  Sensilla basiconica and sensilla trichodea curvata were concentrated on the last three flagellomeres whereas the sensilla trichodea and sensilla chaetica were on most of the flagellomeres.  Sensilla coeloconica included four on the apical flagellomere and two on the penultimate flagellomere.  Four to five sensilla ampullacea were located only on the apical flagellomere.
