Continuing to do research on Old-World Tropical Miridae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) and diving into the systematics and taxonomy of Neotropical Miridae while based in Norman, Oklahoma has its pro's and cons. Investigations into the Neotropical genus Spanagonicus Berg, including a new possible species from Guatemala, has led to interesting insights into the antennal morphology and sexual dimorphism of the North American species, Spanagonicus albofasciatus (Reuter). Additional support of loans of material from different institutions has also led to new directions in the Bryocorinae, and helped continue research with the Leucophoropterini including possible field work in the Phillipines in the future.
