Electronic atlas and catalog of the bark and ambrosia beetles of North America (Curculionidae: Scolytinae, Platypodinae)

Barkbeetles.info is a web site offering images, references, distributions, hosts, nomenclature and interactive distribution maps for 1,300 species of bark and ambrosia beetles from Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.  All native and exotic species are included.  Information from all relevant publications, unpublished data from museum specimen and data from several cooperating research programs are included.  Species summaries, maps, checklists and image sets are generated dynamically from a MySQL database.
