Fire ant microsporidia: how do they compare with other microsporidia used for biological control

Comparison of characteristics of microsporidia that are biological control agents of other insect pests with Kneallhazia solenopsae and Vairimorpha invictae. K. solenopsae and V. invictae have different attributes that contribute toward their current distribution. Lessons may be garnered from the other microsporidia evaluated for biological control.
