1442 Efficacy of sulfoxaflor, a novel insecticide from Dow AgroSciences, for control of insect pests in citrus
Wednesday, November 16, 2011: 9:29 AM
Room A4, First Floor (Reno-Sparks Convention Center)
Sulfoxaflor is the first member of the novel sulfoximine class of insecticides to be developed for pest management. It controls insects via a unique interaction with the insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptor and has a broad lack of cross-resistance to other insecticides. Field trials have demonstrated activity on many sap-feeding insects in citrus such as aphids, scales, mealy bugs, and Asian citrus psyllid. Results of key field studies conducted in citrus, across the US will be discussed.
