Effects of quinine, quinidine and denatonium benzoate were studied. In preliminary experiments only denatonium benzoate had significant effects on feeding behavior of the neonates. Pharmacological analysis of neonatesÂ’ response to denatonium suggests that phospholipase C is involved in signal transduction.
