Pest management firm must have a designated team for evaluating and presenting the program to the county evaluation committee. Criteria for team selection should include sales, technical and management components. Program overview should include IPM plan, IPM experience or affiliation with recognized green service, IPM service protocols, non-chemical tools and techniques, electronic reporting and introduction of local management team. Vital components for delivering the County-Wide program includes coordination, communication, time and resource management between County IPM coordinators, staff entomologist, regional and local management teams including IPM technician. Pest management firm should implement the program in a phased manner. In the Initial Setup phase, staff entomologists and data analysts should take the lead role in providing guidelines for program setup. In Maintenance phase, the IPM technician and local management team will play the lead roles in delivering the regular service. Maintenance phase will also involve quality assurance inspection/audits, data analysis, meetings and follow-ups to evaluate the program efficacy.
