0092 Managing key vegetable and fruit pests in western Nigeria using semiochemicals

This presentation will focus on research on the use of semiochemical-based strategies for management of insect pests of vegetable and fruit crops in Western Nigeria. Examples include use of attractants for monitoring or direct management of diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella (Lepidoptera: Plutellidae); Mediterranean fruit fly, Ceratitis capitata (Diptera: Tephritidae); and brown cocoa mirid, Sahlbergella singularis (Hemiptera: Miridae).
