Originating from China, the oriental fruit moth Grapholita molesta became a major fruit pest particularly throughout the subtropics including Brazil, North Africa, the Middle East, South Korea, the Southern Islands of Japan, and Australia. Its primary host is peach, but it attacks also other rosacean fruit trees. This warm-adapted species is expanding its distribution range, concomitantly with recent climate warming, as many other lepidopteran species
