Specimens of the genus Dohrniphora (Diptera: Phoridae) were collected from a cadaver at the Southeast Texas Applied Forensic Science Facility (STAFS) at the Center for Biological Field (CBFS) Studies on 22 August 2009. Necrophagous activity for this genus has not yet been recorded. This species may be forensically significant and prove useful in determination of the post-mortem interval (PMI).
