Maize has been transformed to express the mCry3A and eCry31Ab proteins. Each protein control western corn rootworm populations. Here, we report on field studies that showed mCry3A and eCry3.1Ab-expressing maize caused 97.84% and 99.79% mortality, respectively of western corn rootworm larvae when averaged across five environments in three years in Central Missouri.
