Based on two short collecting trips in June and August, 2007 and Malaise trap samples, 34 species of Tephritidae were found on the Valles Caldera National Preserve. Eleven of these species and an additional 10 species were collected nearby, mostly in the Jemez Canyon. The fauna of the Preserve is compared with those of surrounding regions. Fourteen species were reared from plants on the Preserve, and 12 species from plants near the Preserve. These include 25 new host plant records.
