An insect rearing project funded by USAID resulted in several hundred specimens of tortricid moths from native fruit in Kenya. Based on these data, augmented by limited information from the literature, patterns of host-use were evaluated. Morphological studies on the reared material revealed that our taxonomic knowledge of the tortricid fauna of this region of Africa is exceedingly poor.
