We present a phylogenetic analysis of the Panamerican damselfly genus Argia (Odonata: Coenagrionidae) based on multiple molecular markers as well as morphological characters. We also present preliminary results of an evolutionary study of secondary sexual morphology in Argia based on computer tomographic (CT) image analysis. Using these results we test some common hypotheses regarding the role of sexual selection in morphological evolution and speciation.
