Insect repellent or deterrent chemicals contained in mugwort, Artemisia vulgaris, have received attention from scientists, recently. Here, we show that extracts from A. absinthium have deterrent, dose-dependent properties against CM neonates. By partitioning crude extracts and comparative High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography, (HPTLC) we suggest candidate CM feeding deterrents for further analysis.
