Past, present and future of veterinary and medical entomology–results from two surveys conducted in spring 2009

Two surveys were conducted in spring 2009 to examine trends in the field of veterinary and medical entomology. The first survey was sent out to veterinary/medical entomologists to collect information on their careers. The second survey was sent to university department heads/chairs to aquire information from universities that offer courses in veterinary/medical entomology. Information will be presented examining where this field was in the past, where it is now, and where this profession is going in the future.
