Impact of Reduced Impact Program in urban pest management

Western Exterminator Company, Anaheim, California evaluated the impact of Reduced Impact Program for controlling pests in urban environment. Our Reduced Impact Program included the use of plant oils, non-repellant materials, growth regulator, baits, dusts, and granules. We compared the call back, chemical cost, cancellation and quality assurance rating with Traditional routes. Call back and cancellation rate for Reduced Impact Program was less than the Traditional routes while the chemical cost was slightly high. Overall, our data indicates that the Reduced Impact Program is a viable and sustainable option for managing urban pest.
