A detailed morphological reassessment and illustrations are presented of the type species of the broad-nosed weevil genera Compsus, Diaprepes, Exophthalmus, Exorides, Lachnopus, and Pachnaeus; all of which pertain to the predominantly Neotropical entimine tribe Eustylini. The new information will be related to the current classification of these genera.
