We examined the effects of several farmscaping plants (Buckwheat, Licorice Mint, and Sweet Alyssum) on the lifespan and body carbohydrate nutrient levels in the parasitoid, Microplitis croceipes (Hymenoptera: Braconidae). Preliminary data shows that the total body sugar levels were greater in wasps presented one of the flowering plant than in wasps that were fed only water. Ongoing studies will determine the effect of nectar feeding on longevity of this parasitoid.
