Wisconsin is one of the top producers of conifers for Christmas trees and landscaping purposes. The larvae of Phyllophaga anxia and other related Scarab white grubs have caused severe damage on Wisconsin conifer plantations by chewing off or girdling lateral or taproots. Here we evaluate the efficacy of various chemical, biological, and cultural control options to manage Phyllophaga spp. grub populations on conifer plantations in northern Wisconsin.
