SPLAT (ISCA Technologies, Inc. Riverside CA, U.S.A.), a proprietary amorphous biodegradable emulsified semiochemical dispenser containing semiochemicals formulated with and without small amounts of insecticide has proven economical, adaptable, easy to apply, and highly effective in controlling Lepidoptera populations pests of row crops, orchards and forests. A single application of SPLAT promotes sustained, frequently season long, population suppression to well below economic threshold levels.

The work here reported been funded in part by the following grants: USDA SBIR # 2006-00016, USDA SBIR #2005-00053, and Department of Commerce Advanced Technologies Program ATP2002005342.
