The nests of six Centris bees (Anthrophoridae: Centridine) [Centris (Heterocentris) analis, Centris (Heterocentris) bicornuta, Centris (Hemisiella) trigonoides, Centris (Hemisiella) nitida, Centris (Hemisiella) vittata, and Centris (Xanthemisia) lutea] from Costa Rica are characterized. We describe the architecture, cell arrangement, orientation, and describe the foreign construction material brought into the nest to form the cells.
