There are many technologies for presenting educational materials to students. Programs including, PowerPoint, Audacity, Articulate, and Flash have been used to develop training modules where students can work at their own pace and schedule to obtain continuing education units for the pest control industry. Students watch a narrated presentation that includes a video walkthrough of the particular training situation. Upon completion of each module there is a self quiz, and at the completion of the course a final exam. A pilot to test the effectiveness of the material was conducted in which student’s scores were compared via a pre and post test.
