Teleiodini (Gelechiidae: Gelechiinae) includes about 60 species in 18 genera in the Palearctic region (Huemer and Karsholt, 1999) and about 113 species in 12 genera in the Nearctic region (Hodges, 1983). Some genera, e.g., Coleotechnites and Exoteleia, are well known because of including pest species of coniferous trees. Species of other genera are known to feed on a wide variety of hosts, including Fagaceae, Rosaceae, Cistaceae, and Betulaceae. A phylogeny of genera is presented based on the morphological characters, including traditional characters of genitalia and wing venation and new characters of the whole body.
