David M. Gordon, Department of Biology, Pittsburg State University, Department of Biology, 1701 South Broadway, Pittsburg, KS

The bee fauna of the least disturbed Pacific Northwest coastal dunes system was studied from 1975-1983. Forty three species of bees from six families were represented on the 76 hectare preserve. Eleven species display some level of social behavior and nine are parasitic on other bees. Floral visitation records, flight seasons, abundance estimates, parasitism and predation records are presented.
