New technology, scarab grubs, and black vine weevil in ornamental nurseries in Ohio

The biology and management of the white grub complex and black vine weevil in commercial nurseries in Ohio are being studied. Various methods for applying rescue treatments, monitoring, and tracking these pests are being tested. Results of some of these trials will be discussed.

Species 1: Coleoptera Scarabaeidae Rhizotrogus majalis (European chafer)
Species 2: Coleoptera Scarabaeidae Anomala orientalis (Oriental beetle)
Species 3: Coleoptera Curculionidae Otiorhynchus sulcatus (black vine weevil)
