Wireworms (Elateridae) and white grubs (Scarabaeidae) were sampled in Florida sugarcane fields during February - March 2015 and 2016. Data show that there has been a major shift in the relative abundance of species in the soil pest complex. Data also show that there are fewer soil insect pests in Florida sugarcane fields on shallow muck soils than deep soils.
