We present four assassin bug species (Hemiptera: Reduviidae: Emesinae) as new records for Arkansas.  A light trapping project conducted in the Ross Foundation Demonstration Area Forest (Clark County, Arkansas) during 2009 & 2010 yielded four Emesinae species currently unreported in the literature for Arkansas.  The subfamily Emesinae contains 54 species known from the US and Canada.  Only a single species of the 54 (Barce fraterna; reported in 2005) has been recorded for Arkansas.  Our poster overviews the four Emesinae species; two of the genus Ploiaria and two in the genus Empicoris.  The two Ploiaria are uncommon, eastern species.  The two Empicoris species are uncommon but widespread in North America.  We further present updated distribution maps for each species and discuss other Emesinae species that may occur in Arkansas.
