The Lethaeini are a morphologically diverse lineage of Rhyparochrominae (Rhyparochromidae) represented worldwide by 40 genera and over 160 species. An updated analysis of phylogenetic relationships builds on work done by the author decades ago. The revised phylogeny reflects new interpretations of characters, supplemented by more sophisticated character coding and modern computer techniques. The results suggest that the generic classification should be changed.
