Diet of the bean plataspid, Megacopta cribraria, in north central Alabama

The diet of adult Megacopta cribraria, an invasive stink bug from Asia, was previously inferred using a PCR-amplified exon of the chloroplast trnL gene (Lovejoy and Johnson, 2014). Here, we extend these results to include adults and nymphs from various locales in northcentral Alabama and further discuss the implications of these findings.
