Next-gen sequencing of odonate gut content

Gut content of naiads was collected and analyzed using next generation sequencing techniques.  Previous gut content studies used microscopic techniques to analyze diet.  While these techniques provide the basics of a dietary analysis, using genetic techniques enables us to determine the entire content of the gut and not just the parts that were highly sclerotized.
