The firefly genus Robopus Motschulsky, 1853 currently comprises 47 species, and is endemic to the Caribbean. Its monophyly and taxonomic placement has not been examined within a phylogenetic context. We use a phylogenetic analysis of morphological characters to explore these issues. We present preliminary data to elucidate the phylogenetic placement and composition of Robopus sensu lato.
