The brown marmorated stink bug was first reported in California in 2005. Until summer 2013 no populations were known outside of the Los Angeles Basin region. A very dense population was discovered in Sacramento August 2013, the capital of California. We report on the first effort  to determine how widespread this serious invasive pest has become in this state, it's preferred host plants, and extant natural enemies associated with these new populations.
