Korean agricultural cultivation aspects have recently changed that glass houses for various crops cultivation is possible throughout the year are increasing. Especially in areas of paprika glass houses, many insect pests including White fly, Mulberry thrips and aphids frequently occur and they generate dozens of times of life cycles so many insecticides have been used for controlling. However, misuse of insecticides provide for refuges which have been treated with insecticides to insect pests and rapidly increase the development of resistance. One of the factors for the development of insecticide resistance is that there are great impacts of the kinds of agricultural chemical sprayers used as well as the efficacy of agricultural chemicals. In this study, the degree of treating insecticides using water-sensitive paper(WSP) and insect pests control effects after treatment were investigated according to the spraying methods, manless fog machine and U-shaped sprayer in paprika glass houses. Also, for comparing the difference of spraying aspects between two spraying methods, fruits in treated sections were selected and monitored the residue of insecticides. The paprika green houses were divided into seven sections, and for each section, repetitive experiments were made three times. By a manless fog machine, Pyrifluquinazon10% water dispersible granule was sprayed. It was found that it was classified into good, fair and poor according to the amount of application of agricultural chemicals by the change of WSP. As a result of verification of the effects of pest control three days later, the good area with getting most wet WSP showed control values of 81.2% and 60.9%; the fair area, 53.0% and 42.6%; and in the poor area, on the contrary, the number of insect pests increased, so it was found that the pest control effect might differ depending on the difference in the degree of spraying.
