Colorado potato beetle, Potato Virus Y (PVY), and Potato leafroll virus (PLRV) can have severe effects on potato yields. We studied the effects of virus infection on host plant selection and utilization by the Colorado potato beetle, and the role it may play in the mechanical transmission of PVY within potato fields. Better understanding these interactions is important for better managing these threats.
