In order to evaluate floral resources available to a diversity of bees on diversified vegetable farms, we used timed observations and timed netting to measure bee visitation to cover crops, herbs, cut flowers, vegetable plants allowed to go to seed, wildflowers and weeds on 10 farms (5 organic and 5 conventional) for 2 growing seasons in Connecticut.  The common eastern bumble bee, Bombus impatiens, was the most abundant bee visitor, followed by honey bees, Apis mellifera, and 96 other bee species.  Fact sheets for growers showing bee abundance by plant species and plants most commonly visited by bee species are available.
