The objective of this study was to carry out a taxonomic review of phlebotomus Indian phlebotomine sand flies and describe one new species found in the Human dwelling. One of the villages was in the vaseti district panchmal gujarat state India. The gonostyle of one of these Phlebotomus gujarat vasset nov, sp, species group oswaldoi, has five 3 spines, similar to that of Phlebotomus papatasi Flebotomus Rondani and Berti in Rondani, 1840; 12 Type-species; Bibio papatasi Scopli, by monotypes. phlebotomus 4 Rondani and Berte {emendation}; spelling fixed under suspension of rules by ICZN, 1954, Opinion 256; 199; Theodor, 1948: 16; 1965: 179; Lewis, 1967: 5 phlebotomus subgenu phlebotomus Rondani and Berte; Quate, 1964: 23. and presents a species very long parameres tip of adages pointed tip of spermatheca 6 unique shapd which distinguishes it from the other, phlebotomine species, With the description of these one new species of the Indian phlebotomus phlebotominae 7 sand flies has been described, 5 of which belong to the Subgenus gujarat vaseti An identification key for male female species is presented
