The economic importance of Chilean Pentatominae is reviewed. New data is discussed, including new host plant records. Among the introduced species, Nezara viridula (L.) is considered the most economically important. On the other hand, among native taxa, several species of Acledra Signoret are considered to be the most important. Additionally, a pictorial key to the genera and most important economic species of Pentatominae is presented. It is hoped that this key will be helpful in the identification of these important pests for those people who work in Chilean agriculture, and for international inspectors who examine Chilean products from exportations.
