Insect resistance to major soybean pests in Lepidoptera, Coleoptera and Hemiptera were verified in laboratory, greenhouse and field assays designed for demonstrating antibiosis and antixenosis for specific insects. Resistance on QTLs M, H, G, and E (soybean genetic map) were verified individually and in combinations in 'Benning' introgressed with the traits. Yield of 'Benning' with insect resistance was enhanced over 'Benning' without insect resistant QTLs in field tests with heavy infestations of multiple pests.
